Dear first-years,

we are happy to welcome you to the University of Mannheim. As your student council, we are here to support you in your studies from day one and are your contact for all your questions.

One of our big tasks is to connect you with your new fellow students through a great orientation week.

Due to the fact that our Bachelor’s programs are taught in German, we provide our information for the Bachelor’s orientation week only on our German page.

Master

Tuesday:

On Tuesday, 04.02.2025, the Pub Crawl will take place! We will visit various bars in Mannheim together, giving you the chance to get to know each other in a relaxed atmosphere. We will meet at 6:30 PM in front of B6 26.

Thursday:

On Thursday, we will meet at 5 PM in B6 26, Room A 203, for a relaxed get-together with icebreaker games and pizza. Afterwards, there will be a pub quiz where you can test your knowledge in teams.

Friday:

On Friday, 07.02.2025, at 11 a.m., there will be an official introduction by the Dean’s Office and the Student Council in rooms A5 C013 (Business Mathematics and Mathematics) and A5 C014 (Business Informatics and MMDS). These sessions will provide essential information about the structure and organization of your studies.

For the Business Informatics and MMDS introduction, it is important to review the presentation beforehand, as the session will only be used to address any open questions. Following the introductory sessions, there will be a campus tour to give you a first overview of the university grounds.
