HWS 2019/20

Master

Please find the slides of introduction sessions here.

For the upcoming semester (HWS 2019/20), we plan some introduction sessions to help you get started at our university. Those sessions will take place on Thursday, August 29th, Friday, August 30th, and Monday, September 2nd. There are some events that are relevant for Business Informatics, Business Mathematics and MMDS students, and others, that are only relevant for one course of study. The program is described below. Please visit this page regularly to stay updated and to ensure you won’t miss any news.

In case of any questions do not hesitate to contact us via mail to studium@fim.uni-mannheim.de.

There is a Facebook-Group to get in touch with the other master students.

For all Master study programs, there is the AStA Day on Tuesday, 27th of August. This session will probably be in German, but there are also welcome events organized by the international office especially for international students. Find more information here.

Furthermore, there is the Freshmen Party on Thursday. Usually, you can buy tickets for this event in front of the canteen (‘Mensa’) the week before the semester starts.

On Friday, after our introduction sessions, we will have lunch in the canteen togehter. Therefore, we meet at 13:00 in front of A5 C0.13 (after the introduction sessions).

On Friday afternoon / evening, we will have a BBQ in the Alfred-Delp-Sportanlage (near A5). Note: There might be events for international students colliding with the BBQ. Feel free to join us later, we won’t go anywhere!

Finally, on Monday evening, we go for our Master students Pubcrawl. Therefore, we meet at 18:00 in front of A5 building C.
