The departments of the FIM

Spokespeople

The spokespeople of the student council, as well as their deputies, formally chair the student council as elected members of the main student representatives. They represent the student council externally, coordinate the work of the student council members, and are responsible for preparing and conducting the weekly meetings. Student department

The main task of the student department is the organization and implementation of the First-years Week at the beginning of the fall semester. In addition, they introduce the second semesters in spring and advise students on study matters. If you have any questions or suggestions regarding introductory events, please contact us here.

Event department

The event department takes care of the organization of various events for students of our faculty. This ranges from beer pong tournaments and barbecues to game nights, wine tours, and running dinners. If you have questions about existing events or suggestions for new ones, please contact us here.

Party department

Student life without a party would only be half as nice. For this reason, the department councils organize a party every week on the university grounds with up to 3000 people. Together with the psychology department we also organize our “Schneckenhoffete” once every semester. If you have any questions or suggestions about the party, please contact us ">here. Master’s departement

As part of the student department, the Master’s department is responsible for the introductory events for the master’s programs of our faculty at the beginning of the fall as well as the summer semester. Finance department

The finance department takes care of the finances of the student council. It manages the available funds, checks the budget compliance, and regulates the financing of the events. If you have any questions, please contact us ">here.

Cottage department

The cottage department takes care of the organization and realization of the “Erstihütte” in the HWS and the “Fachschaftsinterne Hütte” in the FSS. International department

The international department will answer all your questions about studying abroad. They help you if you want to find out about partner universities and will also advise you during your stay abroad. You can find the contact to the international department ">here.

Public relations department

The public relations department is responsible for the public appearance of the student council and manages our social media accounts. Here we keep you informed about upcoming events and news. For further information please contact us ">here.

Cooperation department

Interior department

The interior department is responsible for maintaining order in the student council rooms and keeping track of inventory. If you have any questions about the material, please contact us ">here.

Server department

As a Computer Science department, the FIM avoids externally hosted IT services as much as possible. Website, internal cloud, mail server, and much more are therefore provided by the FIM itself. The server department is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and further development of these services, as well as the moderation of the mailing lists. Exam department

The FIM has an extensive archive of old exams and files. The examination department is responsible for the administration and constant expansion of this archive.
